St. Hilary’s Cathedral

St. Hilary’s Cathedral has been working hard to reach the unreached people with the good news of Jesus Christ. It has been doing evangelism in different ways. Firstly, St. Hilary’s Cathedral has been actively planting churches in different corners of Kibondo town. The idea came after realizing that as the town expands many people find it difficult to attend Sunday services at the cathedral due to travel costs. People have to pay a lot to hire bodabodas (motorcycles) to go to church and those who find no transport fee decided not to go to church. Hence, the vestry thought it was important to plant church in distant places to bring churches closer to people. Today we can witness many Christians enjoying to attend services in the new planted churches. On the other hand many people who were not Christians in those places have converted to Christianity.

Secondly, St. Hilary’s Cathedral has been doing evangelism though house to house visitation, fellowships, prayer meetings, home cells services, outreach conferences and seminars. It invites vibrant preachers and teachers who handle different topics to help people become strong disciples of Jesus. This way, many people give their lives to Christ during these seminars and outreaches. We usually witness the demon possessed and the sick getting healed.
